Director - IT Managed Services Sales -  (Midtown or Westchester location; $5B market cap firm; besides IT Managed Services, 65 other software and services products to sell; other sales people say best sales-centric company they have worked for; base in 100's and commission resulting in $200 total compensation after pipeline built; we've placed 7 sales people with the firm)

Our client is a leading global provider of cloud-based fund services, technology and mobility-enabled infrastructure for hedge funds, fund of funds, private equity and managed account managers. Our client's  expertise in business process outsourcing supports complete lifecycle capabilities, available on a stand-alone basis to hedge funds, fund of funds, private equity funds, asset managers, family wealth offices, insurance companies, pension funds, corporate treasuries and private/regional banks. By outsourcing, clients can reduce their technology investment and operational risks, leaving them more time to focus on asset generation and portfolio management.

Our client is looking for an experienced Business Development professional for their IT Managed Services sales team in either our Midtown Manhattan location or Westchester location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for selling data center, business continuity and hosting and private cloud services.

Responsibilities Include: 
  • Growing the business volume by aggressively identifying and closing Managed Services Engagements 
  • Developing executive level business relationships leading to outstanding results in selling value-add services 
  • Understanding the business justifications for outsourcing the IT function of data center support 
  • Development and execution of sales by utilizing direct marketing strategies, sales force building, sales process management and marketing support materials 
  • Developing and presenting sound business conclusions from gathered information 
  • Maintaining knowledge of industry trends and their potential impact on the client
Skills and Knowledge Desired:
  • 5 + years of successful Information Technology industry sales selling managed service engagements 
  • Proven ability to sell managed services to the financial services/media communities 
  • An expert in infrastructure technology who is a "hunter" in their approach to developing new accounts and understands the business 
  • Demonstrable communication, relationship, and team skills 
  • High level of comfort preparing and leading client presentations 
  • Significant degree of self-motivation, direction and integrity 
  • Experience working closely with senior-level management 
  • Travel in US required
