Senior Manager, Retirement & Investor Education - (Jersey City location; position is 3 down from the President; Series 7,24, 66 required or willing to obtain; 1 week travel per month; be the thought-leader and communicator for this 25 year old, 4.5M Client Accounts in 40 countries with $110B in client assets)

 

Job Description

This role requires an action-oriented leader with a combination of retirement and investing background in the financial services or brokerage sectors, and a dedicated background providing education to clients.  Candidate must be able to easily and thoroughly educate our clients through web seminars, in-person live events, social media postings, and online educational content.

 

Desired Skills & Experience

Responsibilities:

  • Develop timely, seasonal retirement, investing, and savings educational content including web / branch seminars, videos, articles, live event agendas, and additional educational content. Regularly monitor content and implement content changes on our client-facing website as necessary.
  • Create timely and relevant retirement, investing, and savings social media postings on Twitter and Facebook on a daily or weekly basis. 
  • Work closely with Compliance for all new educational and social media content approvals.
  • Partner with our Marketing team to schedule & present monthly webcast events. As needed, coordinate with internal and external business partners to present topics for events.
  • Partner with our Marketing team to schedule  & present monthly live events, including regional seminars, half or full day national education events, and coordinate with internal and external business partners to present topics for events, including branch office support.
  • Discuss and develop ideas with the Product & Marketing departments regarding new ideas for educational events, quarterly themes, seasonal topics, new online content, and new tools.
  • Generate monthly reports for webcast / live events registration, attendance, and follow up leads.
  • Educate our Sales and Service teams on all aspects of retirement, investing, and savings as needed.  Partner with Sales team on post-seminar leads follow up and program monitoring.

 

Required skills:

  • Series 7, Series 24 and Series 66 licenses.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint and Publisher.
  • Strong knowledge of WebEx and Internet browser-based applications.
  • Strong organization, time management and project management skills; ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Highly self-motivated.
  • Solid financial understanding, attention to detail, organization and integrity/ethics.
  • Excellent written and oral communication to both internal teams and end clients.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • 7+ years’ of directly related experience in retail financial services in the areas of product management, sales, education, content development, and public speaking. 
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex issues to sales partners and end customers.
  • Excellent working knowledge of individual & small business retirement accounts, Mutual Funds, ETFs, equities, fixed income, managed products, asset allocation strategies, financial markets and regulations.
  • Experience with both online (self-directed) and off-line (advised) distribution channels is a plus.
  • A bachelor’s degree is required, MBA is a plus.
  • Travel up to 30% of time.
