Position Summary

 

Our Client, an online investing and trading pioneer for over 25 years with ~5 million accounts globally and ~100B in client assets, is seeking an experienced financial services professional for our Retirement Products and Solutions area with a strong background and focus on Retirement Income (distribution) planning concepts, products, and strategies. This leader will also be responsible for Annuities product management.

 

Provides a unique opportunity to build and drive the Client’s Retirement Income framework, strategy and solution development for online customers and through the financial advisor channel. Successful candidates will also possess a strong working knowledge of the annuity product area in order to build out our product platform and offering and provide ongoing oversight and management support of the product.  Desired candidate is someone who thrives in a team-oriented, results-oriented, and customer-focused environment, is innovative, and can put concepts into action.     

 

Responsibilities

 

Our Client looks to continue momentum in the retirement planning space by focusing developing a useful and differentiated experience targeted at pre-retirees and retirees. Candidate must be able to assess and articulate these customers’ needs, identify opportunities to deepen relationships and expand our overall processes, services and experience unique to this growing demographic of investors. 

 

 Key responsibilities include:

·         Development and execution of our Retirement Income framework, planning tools, processes, thought leadership, and educational collateral to improve customer engagement and acquisition through online and advisor/sales channels

·         Champion efforts and work with cross functional teams, most notably Sales, Marketing, Investing, Training, and Technology to design, manage and promote the strategies and solutions needed to introduce and expand the reach of a best in class income planning client experience.

·         Lead product management function and provide ongoing oversight for Annuities. Evolve Annuities offering to fit into retirement income framework and meet client needs.

·         Work closely with Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure that the Annuity Product platform adheres to the necessary regulatory requirements, and remains current with proposed and ongoing regulatory issues and changes.  

·         Identify and create the necessary reports, metrics, and analysis to measure the effectiveness and validate the success of projects/initiatives introduced.

·         Analyze the competitive marketplace, industry trends and environment around the retirement income planning landscape and annuities.

·         Understand legislative changes and planning concepts related to various retirement plans, IRAs, Rollovers, and Annuities.  


Qualifications:

 

A successful candidate will have:

 

·         A successful track record in the Retirement Income Planning arena and a comprehensive understanding of the retirement planning process and products.

·         Experience in Annuity product distribution and platform/product  management. 

·         Proven track record of launching new initiatives from concept to roll-out. Possess strategic, analytical and project management skills to ensure successful outcomes.

·         Experience working with Sales/Financial Advisors to educate on Retirement Income Planning and drive framework adoption

·         Experience working with technology partners to drive online experience and launch web-based solutions

·         5-7+ years of experience in retirement related product management, client relationship management, sales, and/or marketing experience within the financial services industry.

·         Working knowledge of personal retirement products and accounts as well as retirement education, planning tools, and annuities.

·         Proven ability to think creatively and strategically as it relates to customer needs and experience across online/offline channels.

·         Shows confidence and perseverance in addressing challenges and overcoming obstacles; demonstrates ability to navigate within an organization, demonstrates initiative and a strong work ethic. 

·         Strategic thinking, consumer understanding, and needs-based sales experience along with excellent written, oral, and presentation skills. 

·         BA/BS degree required, MBA a plus

·         FINRA Series 7, 63, licensing and industry designations such as CFP, CRPC  and an  Annuity/Insurance license preferred.
