Private Equity - Sr Accountant/Assistant Manager/Manager - (We've helped this client hire over 30 people over the years; northern NJ location; excellent work-life balance; work on 5+ funds with 5 different strategies; use this as a stepping stone to a Controller position at a PE fund; 90k to 110k plus bonus)

Responsibilities
  • Member of a client service team providing assistance on multitude of client service matters including recording and analyzing transactions, reconciliations, and preparation of work paper packages.
  • Interaction with various levels of client personnel and maintaining a relationship.
  • Assistance in the integration of a new client onto the accounting software package.
  • Assistance with the preparation of client service plans, calendars and timelines.
  • Departmental responsibilities include involvement in team projects, training and other administrative matters.
  • Preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and partner capital recording packages including all supporting work papers and disclosure documents.
  • Responsiveness to client inquiries and requests.
  • Assistance in the coordination of external audits.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in accounting.
  • CPA or active pursuit thereof
  • Prior private equity experience. Must have knowledge of industry and accounting principles applicable thereto.
  • 5 to 12+ years overall experience
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
