Jr Analyst / HR/Office Administrator - (10 year FinTech firm servicing top hedge funds with consulting and data warehouse solutions; 50 employees; midtown NY location; need to be smart, willing to do anything and everything in return you see how a hedge fund technology firm works; grow the job as far as you are able to; Base high 40's to low 50's plus bonus)

What you do

  • Answer/transferring phone; taking/communicating messages, assisting an office manager/Chief Operating Officer/others, maintaining digital and physical filing system; order supplies, keeping inventory, picking-up lunch, configuring phone system, some simple system administration; coordinating meetings/candidate interview; coordinating travel
  • Receiving and directing visitors to office (clients, interviewees, deliveries)
  • Assist with client presentations, competitor analysis, client analysis
  • Extension software skills: internet research (i.e., finding services for the office, etc.); MS Office (i.e., creating/maintaining spreadsheets (pivot tables), presentations, reports (time off tracking, contact lists) and word processing
  • Work with programmers and developers on routine items and start learning programming and full-stack of systems and data warehouses if you want
  • Begin to learn data mapping to data warehouses
  • Whatever else that needs to be done and what you want to do and learn if you can demonstrate that it adds value

The way you need to be

  • Graduate of college who has demonstrated that you learn quickly or equivalent
  • High energy, same or greater bandwidth than the smartest person in the firm so you can keep up with your fellow team members and add value by creatively thinking. Great at multitasking and taking ownership of getting things done.
  • Great writer, great in math, great with people and client and can demonstrate this with quantifiable objective accomplishments in prior positions and life
  • Working in a professional services environment as an intern and/or post-college position of 1 to 3 years
