Head of Institutional Consulting - Software-Enabled-Services (SES) – (~7,500 Funds and clients with > $1.5 trillion assets global leader; create and build out the consulting practice; much of the work in New York City and Boston areas; Ttl compensation north of 500k when aggressive business results met. You have the ear of the newly hired big 4 partner whose mandate is to leverage deep existing relationships by extending the firm's capabilities beyond transactional sales.)

Responsibilities:
  • Create the Institutional Consulting/Solutions area for this firm.  Group will have 5+ members.
  • Be the thought-leader in best practices workflow for Asset Managers, Insurance Companies and publically traded REITs.  Be able to apply the best practices to give clients the road map for the end state if road map is followed.
  • Run complex enterprise projects involving client resources, outside vendor resources and internal resources.
  • Thoroughly understand best practices in outsourcing, in-sourcing, ASP models, Cloud models, etc.
  • While appreciating the IT component of projects, be credible to the business side and completely understand the business side point of view.
Requirements:
  • Both broad and deep, at least in some areas, knowledge of ALL core systems (i.e., front, middle, back, compliance, risk, CRM, etc.), the providers of those systems (SunGard; Advent; LineData, Eagle; etc.) and best workflow practices of the Asset Management, Insurance and publically traded REITs.
  • 15 years' experience on both the buy-side (Asset Mgr, Insurance, REIT), sell side (software and outsource vendor) and consulting (Big 4, Accenture, PMO of IT area, etc.)
  • Industry recognized thought-leader.
