Director (Hunter) - Hedge Fund/Private Equity/Real Estate FinTech & Fund Administration Sales

Director - Hedge Fund/Private Equity FinTech/Fund Administration Sales – Top 5 global hedge fund / private equity service provider (fund administration, risk, treasury, plus over 80 other software products); 10+ years selling to alternative investment firms; openings in Boston, Chicago and New York); total compensation $300k+ at end of second year and much more once pipeline built)

Responsibilities Include:

  • Developing new business through lead generation, qualification, proposal development and managing sales process to successful closure 

  • Building relationships with intermediaries and referral sources 

  • Development and execution of sales by utilizing direct marketing strategies, sales force building, sales process management and marketing support materials 

  • Developing and presenting sound business conclusions from gathered information 

  • Maintaining knowledge of industry trends and their potential impact on the firm 


Skills and Knowledge Desired: 

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or related major 

  • 10 + years of experience in financial services sales (preferably asset management, hedge fund, private equity and capital markets) 

  • Understanding of the Hedge Fund/Private Equity industry 

  • Knowledge of financial products including but not limited to equities, fixed income, currencies and derivatives

  • Demonstrable communication, relationship, and team skills 

  • High level of comfort preparing and leading client presentations 

  • Significant degree of self-motivation, direction and integrity 

  • "Down to Earth" sales execution style 

  • Experience working closely with senior-level management

    If you:
    • Are a quota carrying individual contribute (not a manager of people) who has consistently been:
      • #1 or #2 in commissioned sales at your firm(s) in your area of expertise over the last 5 years;
      • in the top 5% in commissioned sales in your sales specialty in your geography
      • a winner and leader in sales throughout your entire sales career
      • Sales of much more than $2M per year
    • Sold services and solutions rather than just products 
    • Have a rolodex of 50+ hedge fund/private equity/real estate clients who have bought product from you before
    • Can get 30 meetings within the first 30 days solely based on your relationship with your rolodex of clients
    • Hands-on, self-sufficient in creating proposals, meetings, etc.
    • Have demonstrated top academic/intellectual achievement (i.e., GPA, great schools, SATs, ACTs, etc.)
    • Are an entrepreneur (i.e., ask for forgiveness not permission --- we'll leave it to you to give examples) 
    • Are fine with developing prospects and then turning the prospect over to the business people who will service the client while you close the sale (i.e., more bias toward transactions then relationships)
