The Position
Director of Fund Marketing & Sales will have a strong understanding of alternative investment strategies have a track record of raising AUM through deep relationships with investors. Integrity and discretion come naturally and your communication skills are first rate.  The position offers an entrepreneurial opportunity to create and lead the marketing and sales team, one that you will have full authority and responsibility for.

This is a strategic hire and will be instrumental in the growth of the firm and will earn the rewards and benefits that come with such a role.

Responsibilities
  • Introduce high net worth individuals and institutional investors including foundations, endowments, family offices, fund of funds, pension plans, and consultants to the firm.
  • Provide the highest level of client service to current and future investors to ensure investor retention including annual client meetings and other investor events.
  • Organize and facilitate onsite due diligence meetings with investors and respond to Due Diligence Questionnaires and other investor requests for information
  • Develop and prepare marketing materials and client communications, including monthly and quarterly letters (i.e. Presentations, DDQ, Performance Metrics)
  • Maintain investor files in contact database
  • Coordinate counsel re: fund document review, subscription documents, negotiate side letters
  • Work with other team members to facilitate on investor
  • Work on special projects as needed
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  • BA/BS required. MBA or CFA preferred. Strong academic performance.
  • 10+ years of raising alternative funds from institutional and high net worth investors with experience in at least one start-up
  • 10+ years of experience in financial markets with solid understanding of financial market fundamentals required
  • Highest level of professionalism and attention to detail required
  • Superior presence interpersonal communication, presentation and relationship building communication skills are paramount
  • Ability to network in person and over the phone as well as having proven abilities to sell and close are critical.
  • Dedicated, hard-working, proactive, trustworthy, highly detailed, and a team player.
  • Expert in CRM, all marketing and sales productivity tools ans self-sufficient.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, ability to handle multiple priorities while keeping an enthusiastic attitude.
  • Demonstrates initiative; ability to work independently with limited supervision and guidance; strong detail and organization skills;good common sense and practical approach to problem solving; habit of thinking creatively and abstractly to find innovative ways to raise funds.
